I'm improving from the latest relapse with gratifying speed, which I suspect is down to my new lightbox. I'm now considering going to my cousin's wedding in Jersusalem, which is in mid-July. This would mean stopping over in London on the way, which in one sense is a hassle, but is good in another as I get to see family and friends.

Date: Thursday, 2 June 2005 10:32 am (UTC)From:London is going to be something of a nightmare. My mother lives in a house with internal stairs, and stairs do not make me a happy bunny. Last time I went to London, in March 2004, I ended up with a compression injury to my lower back, in very nasty pain and unable to walk for a few days until my osteopath clicked it back. Mind you, I'd been running around quite a bit, my grandmother was dying. Also it's a small house and my mother and I will fight like cat and dog if put in the same house to stay, partly because she thinks I have ME because I'm doing everything wrong and if I were to follow her instructions I'd be cured. Her instructions tend to include things like getting up early in the morning despite having sleep disorders which mean that I don't fall asleep until 5 or so (though at the moment the sleep disorders are doing quite well, hurrah for light therapy). So when we've sorted out the flights and hotel and so forth, we're probably going to go back to haggling over how long I'll be in London. It may only be a couple of days. Other thing is you'd probably have to trek over to my neck of the woods (near Golders Green), I won't be hugely mobile and I'll be trying to conserve my strength.
Doom and gloom aside, we must indeed meet up!
