I've been referring people to my article about sleep so much that I've decided to start a separate website for it, where I can go into more detail about the finer points of darkness therapy and so on. It'll be separate from this blog, more professional in tone, and also so that I can refer people I don't want reading this blog to it. So I'm looking for a free website host, possibly blog site host, where I can do this. It needs to be something where I can customise the layout a certain amount, in terms of background images, colour schemes, fonts, and so forth, but won't expect me to know how to design CSS myself. My level of HTML coding is just about enough for me to do the usual bold, italics, links, and putting an image into a post.
I'd like to be able to divide the site into sections for general articles, product reviews (e.g. different lightboxes), light therapy, darkness therapy, alternative therapies (herbalism, aromatherapy), circadian rhythm disorders, ME, sleep hygiene, and a blog of my own experiences, perhaps one or two more. Within each section, it should be easy to see and click on the titles different articles, instead of having to scroll down a long page. Enabling commenting would probably be a good idea in case people have questions.
Any suggestions? I know lots of people use Wordpress, but I'm finding it difficult to get an idea of whether this will meet my needs.
