It's only classified as a disorder if it actually impairs the "sufferer's" enjoyment of life - which in my case, it doesn't. People just don't understand how it's possible to love someone without a physical dimension. Organisations such as AVEN (http://www.asexuality.org/home/) exist to try and raise awareness of asexuality, but yes - I do tend to get a lot of blank stares. And asexuals do tend to get ignored by LGBT organisations; we're even more marginalised really than bisexuals and the trans community.
