[category: Musical instruments > Percussion > Xylophones/Glockenspiels]
Adams 4.3 octave Concert series marimba, model MCPV, serial no. 9616040. This is Adams’ best-selling model, suitable for professionals, students or schools. The bars are graduated African padouk, a very good sounding wood with a clear pitch. The height is adjustable, and the instrument breaks down for easy transport and will fit into a car. To find out more, visit the manufacturer’s website at http://www.adams-music.com/products/marimbas/concert.htm.
Range: 4 1/3 octaves A2-C7
Bars: Padouk 67-40 mm
Pitch A: 442 Hz.
Frame: Voyager
Length: 207 cm
Low end: 90 cm
High end: 40 cm

This marimba is ten years old but has been rarely played due to illness, and is in excellent condition. It retails at £2424 new. Auction includes marimba cover, two sets of four mallets each, and music (see picture). Everything comes from a non-smoking home and has been kept in stable temperature and humidity conditions. Viewing available on request.
Buyer to arrange all aspects of transport. The cheapest option would probably be to collect it by car (central Edinburgh). Please note that costs may be high if you choose delivery by a removal company across the country, and do not bid unless you are happy to pay for this or can arrange an alternative method yourself.
Bidders must have a feedback rating of 10 or above, and at least 98% positive feedback.
[Starting price: £1300, which should allow for eBay and PayPal fees]
[Accept: cheque or PayPal]
[Returns: “sold as seen”, no returns – should that be acceptable?]

This picture will be used for the thumbnail, as it shows up most clearly when at that size.

I may put this picture in the body of the auction at a large size as well as in the box at the bottom where you can switch pictures, as it's the only full-size picture of my own instrument. Do you think I need to make it clear which pictures are of my instrument and which are from websites selling these marimbas?

ETA: It's up! Let me know if you think anything needs tweaking. It's very slightly different from what I put above. This is what I'm competing with. I decided it was better to advertise while that auction was still in progress.
