Warning for travellers

If you're in the UK, or anywhere else with bad weather, please prepare carefully before you go, and don't under any circumstances assume that "the trains will be alright" or similar! Take food, take water, take lots of layers, make sure your mobile is fully charged, and be prepared for, say, being delayed for many hours (catnip_junkie took 16 hours to get from Stevenage to Inverness yesterday) and/or being stuck in a train with no heating.
