elettaria: (Scrimble)
I need new shoes, at the moment I've been living in a pair of clogs where the lining came away the other year and I ended up gluing muslin in, which rather shows as the muslin is cream and the clogs (otherwise in decent condition apart from one scratch, alas) are black. Though today I'm wearing a very dead pair of loafers, where the suedette is beyond dead, but my feet are so crampy I can hardly walk right now and they're the only shoes I have which can take orthotic insoles for my criminally flat feet (apart from my knee-high boots, which aren't what I want to be living in right now). Being vegan, this limits me a bit, so here are some I'm eyeing up, I'll ring the shops tomorrow and ask them to measure them to get an idea of whether they'll fit or not, something I've learned the hard way when buying shoes online. I need something that's slip-on or near as damnit, comes in a 3, will take insoles and still have space for my feet (which the clogs don't), offer some support (pumps are useless for flat feet, at least the ones I've tried on) and are generally casual and can be worn for floating around in, preferably without being horribly wide as that looks clompy on me. What do people think of these?

Black loafer
Strange brown things
Black semi-trainers
Black and even closer to trainers (and even less my style)
Because I've always had a hankering for red shoes, and these aren't too bright a red or too girly a Mary Jane. Also visible here, with stuff about this negative heel technology business.

ETA: Huzzah, the Veganline site is finally working. Not sure how good their quality is, mind you, but at least they're cheap. Blast, their loafers are non-breathable plastic, unless I go for suedette again. Which might not be the end of the world at that price, but I'd really prefer something I can live in and not worry about getting it wet.
